DICK GLANZER Hometown: Carpenter, SD Dad Dick Glanzer, or Dad is he as often known as, was born October 22, 1960 in Huron, SD. Dad went to school one year in Carpenter before the school closed. He graduated from Willow Lake in 1978. He and Mom met in the mid-70's and were married in Willow Lake on December 20, 1980. Dad opened his own auto-repair business, Dick's Garage, which he runs from the farm. He also farms lots of crops and raises cattle, as well as selling Kruger seed. |

MARCIE GLANZER Hometown: Carpenter, SD Mom
Marcie Glanzer (Bell) was born in Denver, Colorado on November 19, 1961 to Gene and Betty Bell. At a young age the Bells moved to Doland, SD where Mom went to school until 1976. The family then moved to Carpenter to manage the Cenex and run the cafe, and that's where Marcie met Dick Glanzer. Today Mom is the Carpenter mail carrier, but word on the street is she's quitting when her contract expires this year and will go to college. |

JORDAN KROGMAN Hometown: Vermillion, SD Sister Jordan Glanzer was born November 29, 1984 on the way to the hospital. She was delivered by Dad, which made the front page of the Huron paper. Jordan was always known as a crybaby until 1999. She graduated in 2003 from Willow Lake. 2003 was a big year for Jordan, as she gave birth to Peyton in June and married Calvin Krogman in September the day before classes started at USD. Today Jordan and Calvin continue their USD
careers with Peyton, 2-year old Emerson, and a baby on the way. |

three Glanzer brats. He is currently a junior in high school at Willow Lake and

BETTY BELL Hometown: Doland, SD Grandma
Betty Bell is my grandma from Doland. She is a native of Denver and is a huge fan of the Broncos. I think her hero is John Elway. She worked at the Carpenter Cafe for a while, as well as a bank in Doland, and the assembly line of the Russell Stovers chocolate factory.

CLEO "GRANNY" GLANZER Hometown: Huron, SD Grandma Cleo Glanzer (Froke)
is my retired grandma who now resides in Huron. She used to live on the farm but
moved in 1997. Her life highlights include moving to Washington state in her
teenage years and marrying Richard Glanzer, I in the 50's. She now spends her
days roaming the streets of Huron, but word is she has been forced to move to a
more elderly-friendly apartment.

BRIAN BELL
Hometown: Fredericksburg, VA
Uncle
I finally saw Brian this year when I paid him and aunt MaryAnn a visit in
July at their Virginia home. He gave us a tour of DC where he works at the
Pentagon, then took us up to his cabin in the woods where we helped do some
minor building. |
 |
STUART BELL Hometown: Doland, SD Uncle
Stuart Bell is the uncle that I see the most of. He owns and operates his own auto body shop in Doland.
In the last few years, he moved out of Grandma and Grandpa Bell's house and
moved into his own place. He's still playing the field with the local ladies.

PEYTON KROGMAN Hometown: Vermillion, SD Niece
Peyton is my sister Jordan's daughter who was born in June 2003.
Peyton and I got off to a rough start when I injured her face at Carpenter Bash
I, but we've since made amends and now get along great. Peyton is a big
fan of playing outdoors whenever I come home to visit and isn't afraid of too
much.

EMERSON KROGMAN
Hometown: Vermillion, SD
Niece
Born Nov. 8, 2005 in Vermillion, Emerson Hayes Krogman is the newest
addition to the family. I think Emmy is up and running around these days,
but last time I saw her she wasn't very talkative. |
 |
CALVIN KROGMAN Hometown: Vermillion, SD Brother-in-Law Calvin met my sister at Girls State in 2002 of all places, while playing cards outside the all-girls dance. He and Jordan are now the parents of Peyton and they continue to go to USD.

CLEOPATRA KLEINSASSER Hometown: Wessington, SD Aunt Patra grew up on the same farm as me. She graduated from Willow Lake in 1984, and married Murray Wilkins. They lived in Bancroft for a number of years, but in the mid-90's they were divorced. Patra then married Lee Kleinsasser and the two are happily married, living in Wessington today. Patra is the band and choir director at Miller High School, and is the other member of the family to attend DSU.

 |
LEE KLEINSASSER Hometown: Wessington, SD Uncle
Lee is a newer addition to the family when he and Patra were married in 1998. He is a diehard Vikings fan, and especially likes fullback Jimmy Kleinsasser who he claims is his cousin. Lee owns a successful farm equipment business.

KATIE WILKINS Hometown: DeSmet, SD Cousin
Katie is the only cousin of mine that I see on a somewhat-regular basis. She is a senior at DeSmet high school. I only see her on holidays typically, since she lives with her dad most of the year.
